Fans are back in the stands at stadiums and arenas so if there’s a sporting event you’ve dreamed of attending, this is a good year to cross that item off of your travel bucket list.

Travel Quest Network's independent Travel Pros can put together a package for you, and they also work with tour companies like Roadtrips that specialize in luxury sports vacations.

For example, the Roadtrips package for the Masters Tournament, from April 4-10, allows you to create your own itinerary. You can watch practice rounds, follow your favorite players throughout the tournament at Georgia’s Augusta National Golf Club or see the traditional presentation of the Green Jacket to the winner. Add-ons include a chance to play a round of golf at some of the area’s most exclusive private clubs. If you’re a college basketball fan, you can book a trip to the 2022 Final Four, April 2-4, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The package includes admission to the fan experience as well as tickets to the semifinals and National Championship final.

The fan events that have been popular additions to championship weekends are returning along with spectators. The NFL’s interactive football theme park will take place from Feb. 5-12 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, with the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium on Feb. 13. You can expect a similar event at next year’s Super Bowl, which takes place Feb. 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale Arizona, near Phoenix.

Sports travel can be just one part of a longer vacation to a place that you’ve always wanted to visit. Each year, the world’s top tennis players gather in England to compete on the celebrated grass courts of Wimbledon. You can take in some of the matches from June 27 to July 10, and do some sightseeing around the United Kingdom either before or after the tournament.

If you’re a fan of auto racing, you know that the Indianapolis 500 takes place on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. This year, that’s May 29. While you’re there, you can visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum and Hall of Fame, with automobiles and artifacts from more than a century of racing on display. Other events on Indy 500 weekend include Legends Day, where fans get autographs of their favorite drivers, and Carb Day, the final practice session before the race.

Attending an All-Star game is a fun way to see some of your favorite sport’s best players in one location. The NHL has scheduled its 2022 All-Star Game for Feb. 5 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The weekend of events will include an All-Star Skills Contest. The 2022 NBA All-Star Game takes place at Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Feb. 20, with other fan events planned throughout the city. And Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game will be held July 19 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
